Life with Liv: Hurricane Help

On 8/28/11, a hurricane hit My Shiny Monkey HQ. I was very scared. Our power went out. My Shiny Monkey HQ was pitch black, but we found flashlights. We couldn't watch TV, play video games, or even write a blog post! We had fun playing board games like ScattegoriesLifeImaginiff, and card games.

If a tornado or a hurricane strikes, here are some tips for what to do:

1. Go someplace under the stairs or in a closet.
2. If you do have to separate, bring walkie talkies.
3. Always have extra batteries with you.
4. Eat canned food or use a gas grill.
5. Make sure you have a blanket and flashlights.
6. And finally, make sure you have a portable hand held radio to listen to the weather and news. These are good tips. Follow them if this happens to you. Even if the weather is not as bad as the weather people say it would be, still follow these tips and be on high alert.

Stay safe monkeys!

  2. Thanks for the kudos! We love the bright colors and our special header created by Ron & Joe, a design firm. This is a custom template based on "Simple" theme by Blogger.
