Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.

Shiny Book Review: Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian

Shiny Book Review!

Hi! I’m Bella, I’m a tween and I love books!

I’ve read all the series of Percy Jackson and Harry Potter. Besides reading, I also enjoy playing outside, in the snow and soccer.

I hope you enjoy my book review.

Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian

by Rick Riordan

When Percy turns sixteen he has to make a choice to help the gods or the Titan Lord, Kronos. In the beginning Percy has a little battle with Kronos on his ship, The Princess Andromeda. His friend, Beckendorf gets killed when monsters throw him overboard. They do it to Percy too but he doesn’t die [he’s the son of Poseidon].

The Percy Jackson series is the last of a series of sixteen books, I recommend this book because it is full of action and every chapter is full of surprises!  If you like this book or the series, you will also like the series Harry Potter.

You can find your own copy of Percy Jackson at your local library, or online at Amazon.com.
