Did you watch the Royal Wedding of Will and Kate? We did and loved every minute of it. Though the Royals certainly aren't "pop stars," they are to us! Over two billion people worldwide got up early and went to a viewing party or watched the wedding on their own "tellies". While most gasped at the pomp, the Alexander McQueen gown, and the oodles of commentary on all the major networks, others were working on uploading their own creative interpretations of this major news event.
You've seen the frowning flower girl and the cartwheeling priest. Here are five shiny sites showing the funniest bits of the Royal Wedding pop stars - and spurring some new pop stars!
1. Facebook fan page just for "Princess Beatrice's hat" (122,000 fans!)
2. T-Mobile's remarkably staged "fake Royal Wedding" using look-alikes
3. Britain's "Knit Your Own Royal Wedding" - the wedding with puppets
4. Lego presents: The Royal Wedding
5. St. Andrews' acappella group "The Other Guys" sing to Kate - "Bad Romance"
Brilliant!
Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.
