Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.

Life with Liv: Clear Thoughts about Glasses

Purple frames are so cool.
Hi everyone! Guess what, I got new glasses!

<---- Look at the picture of me on the side.

New glasses are not only fun, but they really help you too. I went to the eye doctor and she said that I did need glasses. I need them for distance. Some people need them for reading.

When you get your glasses, look without your glasses into the distance. Look at a sign or poster basically anything with words or letters on it. Then put your glasses back on and it’s much clear for you.

Now here are some tips about getting glasses. While your glasses are getting mailed to you, at school ask your teacher to put you up front so you can see better. Also it does not matter if you look good in glasses. You just need them to see. Don’t listen to the kids who say you look ugly! Just ignore them and it wont bother you any more. Have a great day.

Mom's Memo: Both kids needed to get glasses. It's amazing how much Liv LOVES her new glasses - she sees them as a fashion accessory and she looks adorable in them!  Owen looks great - so much older in his glasses - but he doesn't need to wear them as much.  If you are looking for a great, affordable place for glasses, BJ's Wholesale Optical did an excellent job and had some surprisingly fashionable frames to choose from at a two for $79 price you can't beat.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
