Get ready for a tasty new sensation from McDonald's! Their new Fish McBites are here! The Fish McBites are tasty small fish poppers that are delicious and are very healthy, made with real fish that is 100% sustainable.
This week, my mom, brother, and I went to an awesome blogger event about the Fish McBites in Boston. Lots of other Boston bloggers were there too. We got to try the Fish McBites. I thought they were simple and really delicious, and would be a great pop in your mouth snack while I'm going to or from sports or dance, and can come with a Happy Meal or by itself. I didn't like it with the tartar sauce but lots of kids did. I liked it with ketchup. It comes in snack size, regular and shareable.
While we were there there was also a huge truck that pulled up. This truck was called the Game Truck, or as we called it "the mobile man cave." Inside this huge truck was a line of comfy leather couches against the wall and a row of TVs that had XBox and Wii connected to them. All the kids from little kids to older kids like my brother, found something to play and took turns. They had cool games to pick and play on Wii or XBoxes like Mario Cart, Lego Harry Potter, Wii Sports Resort, and many more.
The radio station Mix 104.1 was there with a cool disc drop game to win any of the many prizes on the table. I won a Victoria Justice bag that said "fun sized" on it. I met Karson, one of the DJs we love, and he was really funny. He even gave me a fist bump like a turkey and one like a snail.
We had an awesome time at the event about the new yummy Fish McBites. So today you should go out and enjoy those awesome Fish McBites too or you could win it here!
You can get a Fish McBites T-Shirt, hat, and $15 arch card from McDonalds. All you have to do is tell us which FishyMcBitesMcBites video you like best (by number) in the comments section below and you might win these sweet fishalicious prizes!

Mom's note: I really enjoyed the Fish McBites (limited time only) and was pleased to see that the breading had a bit of spice, and uses MSC certified sustainable seafood - wild-caught Alaskan pollock, great news for Alaskan fisheries. Did you know McDonald's is the only fast food restaurant to use 100% sustainable fish in all of their fish products (not just the McBites but also their filet sandwich)? Pretty cool, McDonald's.
Nutrition info here, but the regular size is only 370 calories without dipping sauce, which you don't really need. Add a yogurt and some apples and that's not a bad lunch on the go for moms and dads, either.
Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.
