Choose Not To Be a Picky Eater

YUM!

Hi again! Today I’m going to tell you about trying new foods. If you like lots of foods, that’s great! But if you like unhealthy foods you should find healthier foods.  I like to eat broccoli with cheese, chicken, granola bars, watermelon and all kinds of fruit.

Now let’s talk about picky eaters. My brother is a picky eater. Picky eaters eat only a few types of food choices. Let’s do an example for a guy named Bob:

EXAMPLE
Breakfast: waffles, and milk.
Lunch: cheeseburger, and milk.
Dinner: pasta, and milk.

Then Bob repeats the same meals every day. Boring.
Ok, see look at those choices. See how it is the same thing every single day? On, and on, and on, and on! Please don’t be like that. Try to find new foods that you like once and a while.  When I try new food, I think about how good it could taste and even if it looks different or bad, it could still be yummy.  If you didn’t like that food, at least you tried it. Be proud of that.

When you like a lot of different foods and aren't afraid to try new things, you can travel to places that don't have just American food, go to new restaurants, and have fun in places you wouldn't normally go.

Swing back to MyShinyMonkey.com again. See ya later!

Hello, it’s me one of the two tweens. I’m going to talk about being a tween.

I’m going to tell you right now its pretty fun. Part of being a tween is having friends to hang out with. Be nice and kind to your friends and have fun. Lots and lots of fun! Also style is important. When its winter lots of boys wear camo. Lots of girls like to wear brighter colors.

Some people may not like you but stick up for yourself - just say “I am who I like to be.” Then they will walk away and ignore you. Also don’t be who you are not. Just be cool and stick with your friends. Find friends you feel comfortable with. DON’T be with people that are never nice to you. Trust me I have been there not fun!

Eating healthy is really important. Try to eat lots of fruits and veggies. Don’t eat a lot of junk food. Eat them once and awhile  it will make you feel better, be healthier, and be stronger.

Have an awesome day : )

Liv -- what a great article! It's always best for people to "eat the rainbow" -- a whole bunch of differently colored foods. Congrats on not being a picky eater!
