I was reading one of my favorite websites this morning, Upworthy, and saw this post by Upworthy writer Deepa Kunapuli, which she credits to an appropriately named Tumblr "Respect is Beautiful". This letter was written by 17-year-old Zooey Deschanel. Many of you know her as the star of "That Girl" but she has been acting and modeling for many years now (bio). What a smart, intuitive, articulate young woman she was to pen this to the editor of Vogue magazine... and sadly, how true it still is today a decade+ later.
