Hello monkeys!
It's Liv, back again to talk about school stress. This year its most important to me because I’m in MIDDLE SCHOOL. My school has students who are 10-14 years old, 5th-8th grade, so don’t be confused.
Most everyone is worried about stress in school. Most stress in powered by fear, confusion, and things happening on and off school grounds. Like relationships with friends, relatives passing, and especially bullies.
I mostly stress about homework and getting good grades. My mom told me that when I do something really bad once I really never do it again because I learn my lesson all the time. It’s ok to stress sometimes, but not all the time. Sometimes you should just stress a little so you have something to help push you to do your best.
A way to get over stress is to calm down or to talk to someone about your stress. Maybe even during school, if you have extra time, you should talk to your guidance councilors about it. After all that’s one of the many jobs they do for all of you.
Remember to do well in school and have a good time (proven by Owl City and Carly rea Jepson)

Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.

Go Liv! Thanks for sharing. You make some very good points.
Well done, Liv!
Well said! I need a reminder to only stress a little myself :-)
Liv, this was so well said. I'm glad you mentioned guidance counselors because talking to them helps to unload the stress put everything in perspective again. We all need a trusted person to talk to from time to time. Thank you for this!
