Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.

Yet Another Freebie Friday with UncommonGoods.com!

UPDATE: Congrats to this contest winner: Nikki from Days With Us... you won a $20 giftcard today!

Freebie Friday!

First, last week's winner: congratulations to Diane Thies, who won a $20 giftcard to UncommonGoods.com!

Freebie Friday time! The good folks at Uncommon Goods are giving me a lovely $20 giftcard this week to one lucky winner who comments below what their favorite item is on their website, here
One of our favorite gift ideas for this week?  We are eyeing this Wall Coaster Extreme Stunt Set... does it have to be for the kids, or can I steal this for my office...? :)

One more fave: now's the time to think about a great graduation gift (yes, even from middle or elementary school). How about this Beach Sounds Portable Speaker? In three bright colors and with retro cool design, this sound system lets tweens rock out on the back porch, the lake, or the beach without fear of sand or surf ruining your speakers - just plug in your media player (like an iPhone) and secure your player inside the body of the speaker, snap and kabam - instant fun!  There's also an FM/AM radio, if you run out of battery juice.
Tunes To Go - in beach colors!

Disclosure: I was provided with a giftcard to giveaway in exchange for this post, but faves and opinions are my own.

About UncommonGoods: Founded in August 1999, NYC-based UncommonGoods offers creatively designed, high-quality merchandise at affordable prices. Their goal is to make "uncommon goods" accessible to everyone. In addition, they also do well by doing good - they donate a portion of each order to your choice of non-profit organizations: American Forests, AmeriCares, City Harvest, and the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN). Pretty cool, eh?

I love Uncommon Goods! Have ordered many things there in the past. Is it bad that I want the portable iphone charger for myself? ;)

Hi. Uncommon Goods has so many great items. I also love the portable iPhone charger (and could really use it); however, I do enjoy the kitchen towels and many of their necklaces. Too many things to choose only one items as my favorite.
