Thanks for swinging in! Writing with a bunch of smart young people, we blog about the monkey business of life with tweens 8-15, and love anything shiny and new. Book/movie/game reviews, shopping, nom nom snacks, OMG news and issues, pop stars, and YouTube LOLs are fair game in this jungle.

Friday Freebies: Stonyfield Yogurt's Oikos

Two winners today!

Recently I had the pleasure of attending an event with author Robyn O'Brien sponsored by Stonyfield Yogurt and learned more about their mission to be committed to healthy food, health people, a healthy planet and healthy business. No one can argue with that.
Want in? Well, it's Friday and that's a popular farmers market day, so we will be giving away a shiny prize that you and your tween will love... and your body will love you for it.

Comment below and note your favorite family farm, and I will mail you a voucher for TWO free 5.3 oz servings of Stonyfield's delicious Oikos organic Greek Yogurt (here's my Oikos review this past summer). Please include your email address in your comment so I can contact you if you win.  Extra entries for liking MyShinyMonkey.com on Facebook, following us on Twitter (@myshinymonkey), or subscribing to our blogs. Two winners will be randomly selected on Monday and notified immediately.

Happy weekend, monkeys!

Many thanks to the good folks at Stonyfield for providing me with these freebies to pass along to you; I am not compensated for this post.

We obviously love Medway Community Farm - has a CSA share this summer, but also love Big Apple Farm and Cook's Farm, both in Wrentham, near my parent's house. Big Apple is great for obviously apples but they have killer peaches, raspberries and blueberries. Pick ur own! Cook's has a HUGE variety of fruits and veggies. First time we ever ate fresh apricots, they have great shell peas in the early summer and excellent fresh corn in the late summer. And 300 years strong! Check them out!

We love a few farms, and rotate throughout the seasons! There's McCann farms in Woodstock, IL for our berries and beans. Homestead Orchard, also in Woodstock, is our go-to for apples each fall. We also love Kroll's farm (can't remember exactly where) with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayrides run by a guy who used to be a science teacher. Everyone (grown-ups included) has fun and learns something new.
